Prefiks ba- sebagai Pemarkah Konstruksi Pasif dan Resultatif Bahasa Minangkabau

Prefix ba- in Minangkabaunese may have various grammatical and semantic functions. It is a morphological marker of passive construction and resultative one, as well. Typological study on prefix ba- faces serious problems since the prefix may bring different grammatical constructions and semantic meanings. Its roles as morphological in passive and resultative constructions need critical and detailed studies in order to have valid and reliable description. This paper describes and discusses the phenomena of prefix ba- as morphological marker in passive and resultative constructions. The analysis is based on the theories of linguistic typology, especially the grammatical typology.
