Pelaksanaan Kegiatan Ekstrakurikuler Bermain Drum pada Anaka Autisme di SLB Autisma YPPA Padang

This study started from a child with autism who has the ability to play the drums. Children with autism were able to play drums well. Though autistic children have never attended les drumming. Their talents and interests are high which leads him to always try to play the drums. This study uses a qualitative descriptive describe the situation as to which their research. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation study. The subjects were music teachers as the main source and principal as backup sources. The results showed that the shape of programming music teachers do is to determine the weekly training schedule on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. In the implementation of extra-curricular activities play drums preparatory stage is to prepare the media. The media used by teachers which is a laptop as a tool for children with autism see the video playing drums. Furthermore, the music teacher always gives first example in playing the drums. constraints faced by teachers are difficult to concentrate and children with autism are also easily bored. In overcoming the obstacles that confronted the child to want to hear the instruction given, the teacher gives a firm attitude to the children so that children can follow instructions given by the teacher.
