The Influence of Using Inductive Model of Picture Words to the Mastery of Basic Japanese Vocabulay of X Grade Students in SMA Negeri 1 Padang

This research is based on students’ low ability in mastering Japanese vocabulary in SMA Negeri 1 Padang. In addition, students’ low motivation in learning process is also a matter of consideration to this study. This research aims to discover the preferable solutions to the matter by applying inductive learning model of picture words. The quantitative research with design experiment method, posttest only control used on the process of the study. The sample was X IPS Grade students in SMA Negeri 1 Padang. The data collection was carried out by using a test, the multiple choice. The result shows that inductive model of picture words influences students’ basic Japanese vocabulary mastery of X IPS classes in SMA Negeri 1 Padang on a significant rate of 0.05 since t calculation is bigger than t table ( 2,83 > 1,70 ).
