Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) Knowing the land use in the Batanghari Hulu Sub-Basin from 2006, 2013, and 2018 2) Knowing the prediction of land use occurring in the Batanghari Hulu Sub-Basin from 2030 3) Predicted runoff due to land use changes that will occur in 2030 in the Batanghari Hulu Sub-Basin. This type of research is quantitative. The data used in this study are Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 imagery, SRTM data, river flow shapefiles, land types, roads, school facilities, industrial estates, settlements and protected areas. The analysis used is suppervised classification method to find out land use in 2006, 2013, and 2018. Cellular Automata method to obtain land use prediction for 2030. Calculation of discharge plan using rational calculation. The re-period is used to estimate the maximum rainfall intensity by 2030. The results of this study indicate that land use in the Batanghari Hulu SubWatershed has undergone quite a variety of changes. The decrease in forest land area from 2006 – 2018 was -2407.32 km2 with the area of agricultural land and settlements increasing by 3289.12 km2 and 258.71 km2 . In the prediction of land use in 2030, there will be a drastic decrease in forest area to 4269.10 km2 . Land that has experienced an increase in area, such as agricultural land and settlements, has reduced the area of forest land. The land area that experienced a fairly high increase in the form of agricultural land with an area of 3946.34 62 km2 in 2018 to 7235.46 62 km2 in 2018 and predictions for 2030 to 7511.62 km2 . It can be seen that every year the discharge of the runoff plan has increased. This is due to an increase in the runoff coefficient and rainfall intensity. The results obtained from the calculation of the planned discharge in 2030 are 1112.03 m3 /s.
