Abstract
Tilapia already a lot cultivated because tilapia have a potential. Potential of tilapia is relatively resistant to environmental change and tolerant to water quality which not good. This adult community use natural pesticides for catching fish in the river. Plant that used as natural pesticides one of them is tuba root (Derris elliptica L.). Tuba root have active compound rotenone which is very dangerous because the content of the poison is high. The use of tuba root as poison fish in continously will give rise to negative impact like water pollution and a threat to the aquatic organism include fish. Water pollution will bring down water quality so that will causing stress on fish. The stress response in animal can be seen from hematocrit value. Research already implemented from October-November 2015 in Zoologi Laboratory Department of Biology FMIPA UNP. This research is experimental research with completely randomized design method that is six treatment and four replications. That treatment is 0% (Control/P1), 0,002% (P2), 0,003% (P3), 0,004% (P4), 0,005% (P5), and 0,006% (P6). Parameter observerd is hematocrit value of tilapia. Data taken after seven day tilapia given treatment. Result of research showing that tuba root extract take effect to hematocrit value of tilapia. Result high hematocrit value of tilapia which given tuba root extract is treatment P3 93,75%, and lowest on treatment P1 21,44% and treatment P4 21,44%.
