The Study of Revitalization Program Traditional Village (RDA) in Nagari Balimbing Inner Tanah Datar District Cultural Preservation Framework Minangkabau

This research is motivated by the limited budget for financial assistance in the construction of the rumah gadang for the community, then the rumah gadang buildings that have been built are not inhabited and cared for by the community and the difficulty in finding building materials in the process of building a rumah gadang which affects the length of the revitalization process. This study aims to determine and see the development of the implementation of the Revitalization of Traditional Villages (RDA) in Nagari Balimbing, community involvement and the obstacles faced in the effort to preserve the Minangkabau culture. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive data, the research location was conducted in Nagari Balimbing, Tanah Datar, with the research informants consisting of 17 people using purposive sampling technique, the data collection method in this study consisted of observation, interviews and documentation study and data analysis used namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Revitalization of the Traditional Village in Balimbing has been carried out in accordance with the roles and responsibilities of the Cultural Community in Nagari Balimbing such as renovating and rebuilding the gadang house in Nagari Balimbing. The implementation of the Traditional Village Revitalization Program has built and renovated fifteen traditional houses belonging to the Nagari Balimbing Cultural Community. Rumah Adat has its own meaning for the Nagari Balimbing Cultural Community such as the implementation of traditional events that must be carried out in the Rumah Gadang, including customary deliberations, wedding parties, appointment of pengulu titles, death of traditional leaders and other important traditional events. Furthermore, community involvement is very helpful in the process of building a rumah gadang starting from planning, implementing and utilizing efforts to build a rumah gadang as well as constraints such as finance or budget and difficulty finding building materials can be resolved properly by the cultural community so that the rumah gadang can be used for activities indigenous peoples in Nagari Balimbing.
