Abstract

Juvenile delinquency was bad behavior or delinquency of young children is a symptom of illness(pathological) socially in children and adolescents were caused by a form of social neglected, so they developed a form of deviant behavior. Dellinquency juvenile behavior that often occurs around the school, caused by a wrong perception of the students perceive about dellinquency juvenile and raised the negative impact of its behavior. Besides that, negative self-concept of students will worse and worse in the perception its juvenile dellinquency. Therefore, researchers wanted to examine and analyze the selfconcept, perceptions of students juvenile dellinquency and its implications assistance counseling in SMA Negeri 1 Seberida. The research was conducted by using a quantitative approach descriptively and comparative correlation. The population in this research were grade X and XI SMA N 1, were 428 people.Sampling using stratified random sampling method, the sample obtained for 207 students. Measuring devices used were Likert Scale. Validity and reliabellitas against two variables, they were self concepts and perceptions about juvenile dellinquency students.Researchers used the Pearson Product Moment correlation technique by using SPSS ver.16. The findings 1) description of students' perceptions of juvenile dellinquency in SMA N 1 Seberida is not appropriate/ bad, 2) sketch of students' of SMA N 1 Seberida self concept is bad/ worse 3) there was a negative relationship between students' self-concept and students’ perceptions about juvenile dellinquency. Based on the results of the research,we can concluded that, self-concept could influence students' perceptions about juvenile dellinquency, its mean that the higher the score student of self-concept, the lower of students’ score perceptions about juvenile dellinquency.Its mean that the better the more precise the self-conceptperceptions of students, rather the worse the concept itself is increasingly inappropriate / poor perception of students about the juvenile dellinquency. Based on these conclusions,the guidance counselor suggested further enhance students' self-concepts for the better so as to create the perception of students to be better / right. The findings of this study as the basis for the preparation of guidance and counseling program in schools.
