Abstract
The research is backed by YouTube beauty vlogger which can affect the coed behave cosmetic
consumptive. It is seen from the behavior of the students who often buy cosmetic products with the
same function but the different brands, make cosmetics as a primary necessity, besides the coed also
often buy new cosmetics while still have cosmetics that have not consumables. The purpose of this
research is to determine the influence of YouTube beauty vlogger on the behavior of cosmetic
consumptive in the coed department of School of Makeup and beauty of Padang State University.
This type of research uses quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was a
student in the Department of Makeup and Beauty College of Padang State University of 2017 and
2018 as many as 239. The data collection techniques are done using questionnaires with the proven
Likert scale of validity and reliability. The technique used is Propotionate Stratified random sampling
with the number of samples as much as 60. Subsequently the data was analyzed through respondents
achievement rate, simple regression test and T test.
Results of the study of YouTube beauty vlogger's achievement rate of 87.98% with high
category. The rate of achievement of the respondents ' cosmetic consumerist conduct in the College of
the make up and beauty Department of Padang State University for 88.8% with high category. There
is a positive and significant influence on the YouTube beauty vlogger impressions on the behavior of
cosmetic consumerist coed makeup and beauty of the State University of Padang at a significant level
of 5% with a value of t_hitung 7,654 >〖 t 〗 _tabel 2,001, meaning Ha hypothesis is acceptable.
Based on the results of the study, advice to the students of make-up and beauty School of Padang State
University to utilize technologies such as YouTube beauty-vlogger impressions as a good educational
platform and pay attention to the consumptive behaviour of cosmetic use.
