Abstract
Technological advance boost new types of concrete such as: light concrete,heavy concrete, mass concrete, ferro-cement, fibrous concrete, cycled-concrete, andvacuum concrete. Fibrous concrete is added with fiber in its mixture, generally threadlike with 5-500µm in diameter, and 25 mm long. Fiber can be made from materialsuch as asbestos, plastic fiber (poly-propylene) or piece of steel wire. Fiberapplication increasing the utility of concrete itself, into multipurpose, by reducing itsfragility and increase its endurance from crack. Using fiber has been proven toincrease fatigue limit of beam and reduce crack wide when the beam reaches its loadlimit.This research is experimental; with population are concretes with cement,sand, pebble, and water mixture; the mixture composition is accord to DOE planningwith addition of plastic bottle Polyethene Terephthalate (PETE) waste. The sample ofthis research is concrete and material. Sample of test concrete is 25 samples, which iscylindrical shape with 15 cm in diameter and 30 cm high. The primary data for thisresearch is directly collected from testing material.After testing and researching the conclusion is plastic bottle PolyetheneTerephthalate (PETE) waste addition reduce pressure capacity of concrete, but it alsoreduce cracks that present in concretes.
