Ronggeng Sebagai Hasil Akulturasi dan Perkembangannya di Pasaman

The purposes of the research were to explain Ronggeng performance as a result of acculturation process and its development in Pasaman. This is a qualitative research. The data were collected through interview and observation. The samples were selected by using a snowball technique. Triangulation was used to checked the trustworthiness of the data. The findings of the study showed that Ronggeng performance was the results of acculturation process of Javanese, Minangkabau, Malay, and Mandahiling cultures. The performance was not well developed but most people enjoyed it.
