Abstract
Psychogeography is a combination of the term’s psychology and geography. Psychogeography theory affects how emotions and behaviors of individuals in a particular environment are caused and influenced directly by the environment. Jakarta in the novel Imaginary City by Rain Chudori (2017) presents how psychogeography theory shows that environmental influences can affect people's ways of thinking, behaviours, and emotions. Psychogeoraphy has four keywords: dérive, flâneur, sense of place, and place attachment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study aims to prove how Jakarta, as the setting of the novel, affects the emotions and behavior of the characters. The data in the study was obtained by citing several quotations that were in accordance with the problem in this study. The results of this study found three keywords: flâneur, sense of place, and place attachment, while the keyword dérive was not found in this study
