Abstract

The aim of physics learning in the education unit level curriculum was to develop the student’s learning activity towards high quality by the creative and innovative teachers. This required teacher to prepare the learning devices according with environment, infrastructure, student condition, school condition, and region condition. It started from selection of teaching material, learning strategy, learning media, and learning resource. The selection of appropriate media was influential matter in the interactive learning process. The constraint of the teacher was unavailability of interactive learning media for temperature and heat, that could help teacher to implement learning process. This research aimed to produce interactive media for temperature and heat matter in physic lesson in senior high school, and ascertain the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of interactive media. This research type was research and development that used four-D model, consisted of defeni phase, design phase, develop phase, and disseminate phase. The define phase consisted of curriculum analysis, concept analysis and student analysis. In design phase, interactive media was designed. In the develop phase was done validity, practicality, and effectiveness test of interactive media. The result of research and development showed that interactive media were valid, practical, and effective. The average of validity result was 4,29 with very valid category, there was no obstacle for its use in learning process. It meant interactive media that developed already practical according to observer and student’s assessment. Interactive media effectiveness was shown from student’s learning value has reached KKM. It could be concluded that interactive media for the temperature and heat of matter can be used in of physics learning process in class X senior high school.
