The relationship between the Study of Education and Behavioral Sciences at the Family Head Of Household Waste Management in Lolong Belanti wailed city of Padang in 2011

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) The relationship between levels of education and heads of household behavior towards household waste management, (2) knowledge of the relationship between the behavior of the head of a family on household waste management, (3) The relationship between levels of education and knowledge of the environment along with the behavior of the head of a family on household waste management. The method used in this research is descriptive correlation. The variables in this study that there are three independent variables consisted of two courses of Education (X1) and Environmental Science Family Head (X2) and one dependent variable behavior of the Head of Family on Household Waste Management. The population in this study were all heads of households in Lolong-Belanti wailed Northern District of Padang . Mechanical sampling using random / Random Sampling some 91 heads of families. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires, observation and documentation. The technique of data analysis in this study using simple correlation analysis (Product Moment Correlation). The results of this study concluded (1) there is a positive relationship between the level of education of the head of household behavior household waste management as indicated by the acquisition rx1y = 0.867 (2) there is a positive relationship between environmental knowledge householder behavior towards household waste management shown by acquisition rx2y = 0.849 (3) there is a positive relationship between the level of education and knowledge of the environment along with the behavior of the head of a family on household waste management as indicated by the acquisition Rx12y = 0.897.
