Abstract

The problems of this research were the headmaster has implemented acadeinic supervision. Nevertheless acadeinic supervision has not been done as it should be, where acadeinic supervision not well planned, less continue the implementation of acadeinic supervision, the lack of guidance in acadeinic supervision by the principal to the vice-principal, acadeinic supervision is often delegated to the vice principal of inaction continued implementation of acadeinic supervision This study aims to disclose: 1) The implementation of acadeinic supervision of the teacher. 2) The factors the background of headmaster use different approaches in implementing the acadeinic supervision of the teacher, and 3) The impact of the implementation of headmaster acadeinic supervision of the teacher. This research is a qualitative research study informants headmaster and vice principals, teachers, and adininistrators. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentary study The results of this study indicate that: 1) Headmaster has implemented acadeinic supervision of the teacher to arrange a time supervision, visits to the classroom teacher and has provided a variety of acadeinic supervision materials, 2) Headmaster approach in implementing acadeinic supervision of the teacher is to a) approach directed , b) a collaborative approach, and c) informational approach, and 3) The implementation of acadeinic supervision by the principal to the teachers to the increasing impact of teacher competence that personal competence, professional. Besides, acadeinic supervision was carried out by the head of MTsN Koto Nan Gadang Payakumbuh lead to the increasing performance and discipline of teachers in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
