Abstract
Learning process through which the students at the unit levels of education with the aim to gain knowledge and skills in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. To see the success and mastery of students in learning, we perform an examination or test. exam is given to measure how much students master the science that has been given by her teacher, exams are often also aimed to discover how broad and creative thinking of students in answering exam questions. The problem is associated with better exam daily examinations, semerteran or national exams, such as cheating in exams, late, students will learn before the exam, do not use the time available for the exam, students who completed exams rarely want to follow up test, was disappointed with the results of examinations, and many other problems in the exam. This study aimed to describe the problems in the test either before, during and after high school exams in state city of Padang. Type a descriptive study. The population in this study are all high schools in the Padang is state City high school students, sample state City high school students 2 Padang and state City high school students 4 Padang, state City high school students 8 Padang. Cluster random sampling technique of sampling with a sample of 295 people. Data analysis is the analysis by using techniques of percentage. Findings showed that: 1) The problems of state City high school students in Padang before exams included in the category of less problematic (46.10%), 2) The problems of state City high school students in Padang were included in the category of the exam is less problematic (41.02 %), 3) The problems of state Padang high school students after the exam is not included in the category of problems (51.53%), 4) The problems all state Padang high school students in the exam are included in the category of less problematic (46, 78%). Based on these results, it can be suggested, namely the Education Department of Padang, Study Program Guidance and counseling, the school especially the principals, teachers, subject teachers, teachers Advisors, in order to help alleviate the problems faced by students in examinations , and for students to be more active in learning and preparing for exams. This study's findings serve as the basis for further guidance and counseling programs, particularly in Guidance and Counseling Program prepares students for the exam in either daily exams, semester exams and national exams.
