Abstract

This research was background by the subject was tested “Geography” so It’s need to be ready in preparing for facing the final examination “UN”. The only one is holding Pre Test UN in regency level, this test was contructed by the teacher. The good test is valid and reliable. Because of that for determining the quality, the writer used item responsi theory which is able to know the level of item difficulities, different index and information function of Pre Test on UN Geography in 2013. Item Responsi Theory can give better information and data about description of test quality, because at this theory between item parameter and participant unconnected. The research used model of LIP in this research. The research type that used is quantitative descriptive with population in the form of tested question items to participants who followed Pre Test UN SMA/MA Sub-Province of Dharmasraya school year 2012/2013, while becoming sample as its responden is the third students (XII) from 18 SMA/MA in Dharmasraya Regency, amounting to 967 people. The sample taken as a whole or is total sampling, because at item responsi theory model LIP require at least responder 500 participants of test. The technique of data collecting was documents study, such as the test participants LJK, the question of Pre test UN Geography with the answering key. Before the analysis of the item was done, hense needing examination on the item responsi theory that is in the form of unidimensi with analysis factor, parameter invariansi with the correlation of analysis and local independency with covarian analysis. After all of the requirements full filled, then can be determined by difficult level with used Ascal 3.2 program and the item of information function. The result of examination to the all requirements of item responsi theory obtained that (1) there are one single dimension in items compiler of the test, (2) parameter invariansi there are strong relation/link enough between anomalous item with even item, (3) local independency there are index of covariansi smallest come near zero in diagonal cell of matrik. The further analysis is obtained that there are 35 items (70%) can be accepted, 6 items (12%) can be accepted with there are some revisions, and 9 items (18%) refused. The information function value of the test including goodness, because the difficult level most residing in ( 2 ≤ bi ≥ 2). Based on the result of this research, it had better the used of options, pictures and sentences is repaired and suitable with the SKL.
