Abstract
This study discusses how to improve wall decoration (quilling) skills
through the tutorial learning method for grade VIII Tuanrungu children. This type of
research is a classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles, consisting of
planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Each cycle consists of four meetings.
This research shows that this tutorial method can improve quilling wall decoration skills
for deaf children. The increase in this ability was evidenced in the first cycle, the students'
scores were 33.3%, 41.6%, 55%, 66%, which increased in the second cycle to 70%, 71%,
83.3%, and 88%. The findings in this study indicate that students with hearing impairment
have had developments and improvements in quilling wall decoration skills. So it means
that the increasing ability of students in making wall hangings (quilling) using the tutorial
learning method.
