One of the steps taken by local governments to improve theeconomic standard of the local community in doing any particular activity that willlead the city, namely, in carrying out road construction Jorong Surabayo, KampungPinang. Implementation of this project is done to improve the functioning of the road,which was originally a local road and upgraded to arterial road.To achieve the goal of planning is then carried out the design and widening ofthe road. There are several methods used to determine the pavement, including themethod of Road Design System (RDS) and Component Analysis method.From the method of Road Design System (RDS) acquired Surface 9 cm thick(WC and AC-AC-BC), Base 20 cm thick (the Aggregate Class A) and Sub-basethickness of 25 cm (Aggregate Class B). As for the re-calculation method inComponent Analysis can be thick surface 5 cm (AC-WC and AC-BC), 20 cm thickbase (aggregate class A) and sub-base thickness of 10 cm (Aggregate class B). Thedifference method is very influential on the design or the design thickness ofpavement, where the planning on this project by using the method of Road DesignSystem (RDS) is thicker than the results obtained from the results of ComponentAnalysis method.
