The Construction of this project is a step to minimize flooding and coastalerosion in Pariaman. Most of the residents who live by the beach especiallyPariaman frequently encountered by large waves and sea erosion in the riverchannel edge. Caused due to siltation of water channels in the river, so water cannot be fixed on one of the river and will be continued erosion of the coastlinewhere the sea would seem to grow larger and the mainland will grow more andmore narrow, which resulted in settlements will experience flooding.
