Abstract
SMP-RSBI is one solution taken by government to handle the globalization era in education. Physics learning in the SMP-RSBI requires learning material in English based on ICT. In fact, the learning material in English based on ICT were still limited. An alternative solution to solve this problem is implementation of the bilingual Physics student worksheet by using various type of assignments based on website. The purpose of research is to investigate the effect of the use of bilingual Physics student worksheet by using various type of assignments based on website to the competence of students grade VII in SMPN 8 Padang.
Type of this research is Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of research was all student in grade VII in the SMPN 8 Padang that enrolled in the academic year 2011/2012. The research samples were determined through cluster sampling technique; grade VIIA as experimental class and grade VIIC as control class. The data collection instruments were written test for cognitive domain, observation sheet for affective domain, and scoring rubrict for psychomotor domain. The data analysis techniques used for cognitive domain, affective domain, and psychomotor domain were descriptive statistical analysis, normality and homogeneity test and the compare mean test.
Base on data analysis, it can be stated that the average value of students who use bilingual Physics student worksheet by using various type of assignments based on website was higher than the average student who did not use web-based bilingual-language Physics worksheet. The results showed that the influence use of The Bilingual Physics Student Worksheet by Using Various Type of Assignments Based on Website Toward The Competence of Students Grade VII in SMPN 8 Padang was acceptable in the real level of 0.05.
