Abstract
PT. Tata Artamulia Primary is a mining contractor to mine coal in the hamletof Cape bush, District Jujuhan, Bungo, Jambi province with a system of open pit(surface mining) by the method of Open Pit. Activities carried out starting from thesurvey mapping, land clearing, top soil stripping and transporting and overbourden,mining and transport barubara, and reclamation activities.Before carrying out coal mining operations, first stripping the cover(overburden). Overburden stripping work is essential for activity done on mining,especially in mining activities that use open pit system. In the course of stripping theoverburden layer PT. Tata Artamulia Primary use PC 1250 excavator KOMATSUKOMATSU HD 465 conveyance.Based on the results of the evaluation conducted by the author, can be seen onthe production capabilities overburden loading point 1 125,400 BCM / month with 4units of dump trucks and the loading point 2 production 120 360 BCM / month with4 units of dump trucks. After the addition of 2 units of dump trucks at loading point1 production can be increased from 125 400 to 156 870 BCM BCM / Month 5 unitsof dump trucks and the loading point 2 can be increased from 120 360 to 150 570BCM BCM / Month 5 units of dump trucks.
