Pengaruh Jam Hambatan terhadap Produksi Bucket Whell Excavator pada Tambang Air Laya PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk.

PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) tbk is the only one of state-owned enterprises(BUMN) which engages in coal mining in Indonesia. PT. Bukit Asam (Persero)tbk was established on March 2nd,1981 based on Government Regulation no. 42of 1980 with its Head Office in Tanjung Enim South Sumatra.Geographically, the location of PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) tbk, mining unitof Tanjung Enim is located at 3°42'30 "LS - 4°47'30" LS and 103°45'00 "BT -103°50'10" BT (Figure 2.2). It has regionalauthority mining (KP) which is ownedby PT. BA-UPTE covering 7700 which covers an area of Tanjung Enim and itssurrounding areas including Air Laya mining (TAL) and non Air Laya (NAL).The system of coal mining in mining unit of Tanjung Enim of PT. BukitAsam (Persero) tbk has been currently divided into two subdivisions. They areconventional mining whose has shovel and truck as the main equipment (MuaraTiga Besar and West Banko site) and continous mining (Air Laya site) with itsBucket Wheel Excavator (BWE) as the main mining equipment.The obstruction or weakness of the system of the continuous mining whichused BWE equipment was if there was a problem or distraction on an equipment,it would distract the other equipments or operation system of mining would bedisrupted. It caused time resistance, reduced production or the cessation ofoperation temporarily.The target of coal production of PT. Bukit Asam (Persero) tbk to oneBWE was 2 million tons per month, however, it just reached 1.515.453,6 tons permonth due to inefficient working time to BWE for digging the coal. To maximizethe productivity of BWE 201, it needed to reduce the time of intermission bypaying attention to the performance of the operators and decrease the possibilityof coming late and also take early for resting. To achieve that target of theproduction, it recommended to PT. Bukit Asam to increase the working efficiencyto 96% in order to achieve the production of 2 million tons.
