Abstract
The aim of this paper is to discuss the use of audio books as a better substitute for use in EFL listening classes. Many students have difficulty listening, such as difficulty in listening to lessons, difficulty pronouncing words, and forming connections between what they hear and what they have learned because they cannot understand spoken material accurately. Audio books provide a solution to this problem by providing illustrations from native speakers, giving students the correct pronunciation of words. As a result, audiobooks helped students to free themselves from ongoing pronunciation problems, helped achieve a better level of understanding of English by providing guidance on word pronunciation, and better vocabulary acquisition to students.
