Abstract
High development of population is problem that faced all over the world included Indonesia. In developing country, domestic garbage throwed away into the river without a treatment. This research is aimed to evaluate the water quality in the river based on pp 82 year 2001about standardization quality. This research determimine 4 poin of samples which is 2 in the end of the river and 2 others are in the middle of DAS Batang Kuranji, generally even in the end of DAS Batang Kuranji (Kecamatan Pauh) or in the middle Kecamatan Kuranji happened degradation or decrease of water quality, but still in low standardization quality except Fe or iron in all point more than excessive standardization quality eventhough for water in grade 2, 3 , and 4.
