Abstract

Social relationships are a continuing problem from time to time. One effort to improve students understanding of how to establish good social relations is by improving self-regulation ability. In this case the counselor can improve the quality of service in the social field by using guidance and counseling module. The aims of this research were: (1) to produce guidance and counseling module on student self regulation in appropriate social relationship by content, and (2) to describe the extent to which the guidance and counseling module was practical to improve the students self-regulation in social relation by counselor. The research method used research development, by following step development of model of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects of the research trial consisted of three experts for the feasibility test and three counselors for the test of exposure.The research was conducted by research product trial. The data of the research were analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis and nonparametric statistical analysis. The result of the research showed that (1) the guidance and counseling module on self-regulation of students in social relation is considered feasible to be utilized by counselor to give counseling service to the students to improve self regulation in social relation, and (2) the practicality degree of the module on selfregulation of students in social relations is highly valued for use by students. Based on the results of this study, it can be generally concluded that the resulting research products declared feasible and can be developed to assist students in order to improve student self-regulation in social relationships. Thus, the product of this study can be recommended to be introduced and used by counselors in Senior High School.
