Abstract

This research investigated the types and levels of code mixing based on Deddy's podcast video on his YouTube channel. The aim of this research is to determine the types and the levels of code mixing in Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast. The Researcher analzyed the types code mixing by using Hoffman’s theory and the levels of code mixing using Suwito’s theory. The Researcher employed a qualitative method was used to classifiefd this research data and to describe the findings. The result indicated that the most code-mixing used in the utterances of the guest stars in Deddy's Corbuzier podcast video is intra-sentential with the total number 101 data and followed by intra-lexical that consist of 8 total data. Furthermore, the dominant level of code mixing that mostly appears is clause type 45 occurances then followed by word level 37 occurances, phrase level 22 occurances, baster level 8 occurances, and idiom level 1 occurances
