Abstract

This research explains the application of Google Sites-based learning media in an effort to improve learning outcomes in Sociology subjects in class XI social studies 2 students of SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Angkek. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. In its application, all the necessary steps in the contextual learning model (CTL) are carried out, namely modelling, inquiry, questioning, learning community, constructivism, reflection, and authentic assessment. The theory used is the constructivistic theory of learning by Jean Piaget and Vygotsky. This research instrument is an observation sheet containing an observation sheet for student activity and an observation sheet for the learning activity process. Then the test instruments in the form of Pre test and Post test. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative data corroborated by observation sheets, Pre tests and Post tests. This data is also corroborated by qualitative descriptive data in the form of interview data. The results of this study show that the application of Google Site-based learning media can improve student learning outcomes. This is shown in the second cycle, where the average learning achievement of students has increased, namely 67.4 in the first meeting, rising to 82.3 in the second meeting. Hsasil has achieved the desired achievement criteria of >76. The learning media created consists of the Main Page, Attendance Page, Pre Test Page, Material page, feedback page, and Post Test Page. This medium is validated by sociology teachers. Google Sites media eligibility is based on scores obtained for each aspect by sociology teachers to get assessment results with an average score of 76 that falls into the appropriate category
