Abstract

Competence of the scientific work of students in senior highschools in learning physics is less developed with a variety of reasons, including the unavailability of laboratory facilities and equipments that are adequate. One alternative solution to this problem is use vitual laboratory. In general, this study aims to develop the Virtual Laboratory and their levying a valid, practical to improve the scientific work competence of students in learning physics in Padang senior high school. Research and Development (R&D) study was conducted in three stages namely: preliminary studies, prototype develop ment and evaluation. The research data containing results of validity, practicality set of virtual laboratory. Value validation obtained4.25with the interpretation set the Virtual La boratory is VALID. From the test results obtained practicality value is 4:20 with the inter pretationset the Virtual Laboratory is PRACTICAL. So can be concluded that sets virtual laboratory that was developed is feasible for use as an alternative laboratory.
