Abstract
This experimental study aims at investigating the effect of formative evaluation feedback on students learning outcome in Physics with respect to their cognitive styles. Subjects as sample of study were 120 students of SMUN in Padang. Obtained data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. Firdings suggest that learning outcome of studenti who obtained feedback on formative evaluation through discussion is higher than those obtaining the feedback by intervfew. Furthermore, student with field independent cognitive style show higher learning outcome than those with field dependent cogn:tive style. Therefore, it is recoin:nended that, to obtain higher learning outcome in Physics, student cognitive styie be taken into account
