Kompetensi sosial kepala sekolah berpengaruh terhadap terciptanya komunikasi, Kerja sama, partisipasi, dan kepekaan sosial yang harmonis di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang kompetensi sosial kepala sekolah menurut persepsi guru yang ditinjau dari indikator komunikasi, kerja sama, partisipasi, dan kepekaan sosial. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh guru PNS di SMK Negeri Se- Kecamatan Lubuk Begalung Kota Padang yang berjumlah 140 Orang, dengan sampel sebanyak 61 guru yang ditentukan menggunakan Teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Instrument penelitian berupa angket dengan skala Likert. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan rumus rata-rata (mean). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa persepsi guru tentang kompetensi sosial kepala sekolah berada [ada kategori baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata pada indikator komunikasi sebesar 4,46 berada pada kategori baik, indikator kerja sama sebesar 4,44 berada pada kategori baik, indikator partisipasi sebesar 4,34 berada pada kategori baik, dan indikator kepekaan sosial sebesar 4,48 berada pada kategori baik.
