        <dc:description>Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya angka obesitas pada anak usia sekolah yang berdampak pada kelelahan dini dan penurunan kapasitas fisik saat beraktivitas. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dengan tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri 21 Parak Kopi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 42 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kebugaran jasmani meliputi beberapa item tes, yaitu Child Ball, Tok Tok Ball, Shuttle Run 8x10 meter, Move The Ball, dan lari 600 meter. Sementara itu, status gizi diukur menggunakan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Analisis data menggunakan uji Liliefors sebagai Uji Prasyarat dan Spearman Rank sebagai Uji Statistik (taraf signifikansi 0,05) karena sebaran data berdistribusi tidak normal. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan dengan arah korelasi negatif, dibuktikan oleh nilai mutlak r hitung (0,306) &gt; r tabel (0,304). Variabel IMT memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 9,36% terhadap kebugaran jasmani. Kesimpulannya, semakin tinggi angka Indeks Massa Tubuh siswa (mengarah pada obesitas), maka tingkat kebugaran jasmaninya cenderung semakin rendah.</dc:description>
