Repository Universitas Negeri PadangStudi Penyerapan Ion Pb i 2+ oleh Zeolit 4A yang Disintesis dari Abu TerbangAdzanalMaghribhiauthorSalah satu pemanfaatan abu terbang adalah untuk sintesis zeolit 4A [Na 12 (SiO 2 ) 12 (AlO 2 ) 12 .27H O]. Zeolit 4A banyak disintesis karena zeolit 4A mempunyai banyak kegunaan, diantaranya: sebagai bahan pengisi deterjen pengganti tripolipospat, penyerapan ion dalam limbah cair yang mengandung ionion logam berbahaya, katalis, penyerap molekul gas kecil seperti H 2 , dan gas lainnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan menentukan pH dan konsentrasi optimum pertukaran ion Pb 2+ oleh zeolit 4A yang disintesis dari natrium silikat hasil sintesis dari abu terbang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen laboratorium. Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan uji kapasitas pertukaran ion Pb oleh zeolit 4A dengan variabel pH yaitu 4,8, 5,0, 5,2, 5,4 dan 5,6; serta variabel konsentrasi yaitu 40, 45, 50, 55, 60 dan 65 ppm. Konsentrasi Pb 2+ yang terserap dihitung dari selisih konsentrasi awal Pb 2+ sebelum pertukaran dengan konsentrasi Pb 2+ sisa (hasil pengukuran). Pengukuran konsentrasi Pb 2+ sisa dilakukan menggunakan Spektroskopi Serapan Atom pada panjang gelombang 283,3 nm. Dari uji kapasitas pertukaran ion Pb 2+ oleh zeolit 4A dengan variabel pH dan konsentrasi awal Pb 2+ diperoleh bahwa kapasitas pertukaran ion Pb maksimal pada pH 5,4 yaitu sebesar 14,7511 mg/g zeolit.
