Salah satu bahan sumber alumina silikat adalah tanah napa yang memiliki kandungan SiO2 dan Al2O3 dalam jumlam tinggi dengan persentase 62,70% dan 31,16% berdasarkan uji XRF setelah kalsinasi. Tujuan kalsinasi adalah untuk meningkatkan luas permukaan bahan alumina silikat sehingga dapat meningkatkan kelarutan maksimum alumina silikat oleh larutan alkali aktivator. Penelitian ini melaporkan karakteritik semen geopolimer berbasis tanah napa dengan variasi rasio Na2SiO3/NaOH sebagai alkali aktivator adalah 1, 1.5, 2, dan 2.5.
