Hal ini tentunya menyebabkan siswa kurang termotivasi, dan tidak terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran kartu arisan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada mata pelajaran Matematika di SMP N 1 IV Koto Agam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasy Experiment Research) dengan populasi siswa kelas VII dengan jumlah 151 siswa. Untuk sampel adalah kelas VII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes hasil belajar yang dilakukan diakhir penelitian. Teknik analisis data uji t dengan kriteria thitung > ttabel, maka hipotesis diterima dan sebaliknya. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, kelas VII2 memperoleh nilai ratarata 76,13 sedangkan untuk kelas VII3 memperoleh nilai rata-rata 68,53. Dari analisis data, didapatkan thitung adalah 3,015 dan ttabel adalah 2,000. Ini berarti hipotesis diterima karena thitung lebih besar dari ttabel.
