        <dc:description>Proses pembelajaran Biologi di kelas XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi yang berpusat kepada guru (teacher centered learning) dan minimnya interaksi edukatif siswa menyebabkan hasil belajar biologi siswa masih dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) yang telah ditetapkan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut diperlukan strategi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul berorientasi konstruktivis dengan model 7E Learning Cycle (7E LC). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan modul berorientasi konstruktivis dengan model 7E LC terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen, menggunakan rancangan randomized control-group posttest design, dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi yang terdiri dari tujuh kelas. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, dimana terpilih kelas XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 7 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, didapatkan dari hasil tes akhir yang dilakukan di akhir penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Data hasil belajar afektif siswa didapatkan dari pengamatan yang dilakukan dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan, rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa kelas eksperimen (81,69) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (73,27) sedangkan terhadap hasil belajar afektif siswa didapatkan aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen juga lebih meningkat daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji t didapatkan thitung 4,60 lebih besar dari ttabel 1,66, sehingga hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul berorientasi konstruktivis dengan model 7E LC berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Bukittinggi.</dc:description>
