Proses belajar mengajar yang masih teacher center serta penggunaan model dan strategi pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan Handout terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif berbentuk quasy experiment. Populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 7 Padang pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling, siswa kelas VIII/5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII/6 sebagai kelas kontrol, masing-masingnya berjumlah 32 orang siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes objektif sebanyak 40 butir soal dan alat pengumpul data berupa lembaran tes. Jenis data penelitian berupa data hasil belajar siswa dan sumber datanya adalah nilai siswa. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan Handout 86,05 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 80,83. Dengan demikian, penerapan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berbantuan Handout berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas VIII SMP N 7 PadangL Education (General)T Technology (General)2019-10Universitas Negeri padang;KTP FIP UNPThesis
