Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu menerapkan model pembelajaran think talk write bermuatan literasi sains pada materi sistemreproduksi manusia di SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang. Tujuan penelitian adalahmengetahui pengaruh positif model pembelajaran think talk write bermuatanliterasi sains terhadap kompetensi belajar peserta didik pada materi sistemreproduksi manusia di SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancanganpenelitian randomized control group posttest only design. Populasi penelitianseluruh kelas XI MIPA SMA Kartika 1-5 Padang yang terdaftar pada tahunajaran 2018/2019. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah XI MIPA5 sebagai kelaseksperimen dan XI MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih melalui teknikpurposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal posttest untukkompetensi pengetahuan, lembar observasi untuk kompetensi sikapdanketerampilan. Hipotesis penelitian diuji menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian nilai rata-rata kompetensi pengetahuan pesertadidik kelas eksperimen 76,97 sedangkan kelas kontrol 72,13 (thitung 1,82 >ttabel 1,67), nilai rata-rata kompetensi sikap pada kelas eksperimen 78,16 sedangkankelas kontrol 71,32 (thitung 2,30 > ttabel 1,67) dan nilai rata-rata kompetensi keterampilan kelas eksperimen 76,16 sedangkan kelas kontrol 69,77 (thitung 1,80>ttabel 1,67).
