Cahaya Bumi Perdana merupakan salah satu perusahaan tambang yang bergerak dibidang pertambangan batubara yang berlokasi di kota Sawahlunto, Sumatera Barat. Batubara yang diproduksi oleh PT. Cahaya Bumi Perdana memiliki kadar sulfur cukup tinggi dengan nilai sulfurnya 1,21 %. Penelitian dengan metode ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rendah dicampur dengan oli bekas, penggunaan oli bekas terhadap batubara akan dilihat pengaruhnya pada kadar sulfur batubara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas menunjukkan dimana ketika di tambahkan dengan oli bekas sebanyak 2.5ml mengalami penurunan sebanyak 0.13%, pada pencampuran 5ml oli bekas didapatkan penurunan pada sulfur batubara sebanyak 0.26%, penambahan 7.5ml oli bekas terhadap batubara terjadi penurunan 0.37%, pada pencampuran 10ml oli bekas terjadi penurunan 0.42%, dan pada pencampuran terakhir di 12.5ml oli bekas terjadi penurunan 0.48%.T Technology (General)TN Mining engineering.
