Mengingat pentingnya kesehatan, masyarakat diharapkan mengetahui fasilitas kesehatan terdekat untuk mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan. Pada Dinas Kesehatan Kota Sungai Penuh belum memiliki sistem informasi berbasis WEB sebagai media informasi. Berdasarkan kenyataan yang ada, diperlukan sistem informasi giografis tentang fasilitas kesehatan agar dapat menjadi teknologi informatif dan menjadi alternatif. Sistem informasi pemetaan ini dirancang berbasis WEB dengan melibatkan bahasa pemograman HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP berbasis object oriented, dan Open Street Map, Codeigniter, MySQL sebagai basis data, dan Qgis sebagai aplikasi membuat peta. User yang terdaftar pada sistem ini memiliki akun private untuk dapat masuk ke dalam sistem yakni nomor identitas dan password dengan enskripsi MD5. Sistem informasi ini menghasilkan informasi fasilitas kesehatan yang tersebar di Kota Sungai Penuh beserta posisi geografisnya. Ini juga sebagai alternatif dalam pencarian informasi fasilitas kesehatan yang ada di Kota Sungai Penuh.
