Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Model Kooperatif Tipe MURDER (Mood, Understand, Recall, Detect, Elaborate And Review) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Sosiologi kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan Kuantitatif berbentuk Quasy Eksperiment. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa XI yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling, yaitu kelas XI IS 1 dan XI IS 2 masing-masingnya berjumlah 35 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes tertulis berupa soal objektif sebanyak 40 butir soal, dan Alat pengumpul data digunakan lembaran tes dan lembaran jawaban siswa. Data diolah dengan uji perbedaan (t-test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model kooperatif tipe MURDER adalah 81,07 dan SD 12,94 lebih tinggi dari nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model konvensional adalah 73,21 dan SD 13,71. Berdasarkan perhitungan t-test diperoleh thitung= 2,431 dan ttabel= 1,995 pada taraf signifikansi α 0,05 dapat dilihat bahwa thitung> ttabel, sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar siswa kelas yang menerapkan model kooperatif tipe MURDER (kelas eksperimen) dengan hasil belajar siswa kelas yang menerapkan model konvensional (kelas kontrol). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe MURDER memberi pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi di SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk BasungLC Special aspects of educationLC5201 Education extension.
