Tegangan konstan yang dibutuhkan adalah 14.5 volt. Buck converter digunakan untuk menurunkan tegangan dan sistem kontrol Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) untuk mengendalikan kestabilan tegangan keluaran buck converter dengan nilai respon overshoot, rise time dan settling time yang mendekati 0. Penentuan parameter PID dilakukan dengan metode Ziegler Nichols 2 yaitu osilasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, tegangan keluaran buck converter stabil pada nilai 14.5 volt dengan respon optimal rise time = 0.01s, settling time = 0.02s dan overshoot = 0 volt dengan nilai Kp = 1.95, Ki = 3.9 dan Kd = 0.000243, dimana proses charging dilakukan pada baterai 12V/1.2 Ah dengan kondisi tegangan baterai 11.5 volt dan berhenti pada tegangan 13 volt dengan waktu pengisian selama 20 menit.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">TK Electrical engineering.
