memahami cerpen, (2) kemampuan menulis naskah drama, dan (3) hubungan&#13;
kemampuan memahami cerpen dengan kemampuan menulis naskah drama siswa&#13;
kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Sijunjung.&#13;
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif&#13;
dan menggunakan rancangan penelitian korelasi. Populasi dan sampel penelitian&#13;
ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Sijunjung yang terdaftar tahun ajaran&#13;
2012/2013 dengan jumlah sebanyak 34 orang yang tersebar dalam dua kelas.&#13;
Seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Sijunjung dijadikan sampel penelitian&#13;
karena jumlah pupolasi siswa kurang dari seratus orang. Data yang diambil&#13;
dianalisis dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut. Pertama, memberi skor tes&#13;
kemampuan memahami cerpen. Kedua, memberi skor tes kemampuan menulis&#13;
naskah drama. Ketiga, mengubah skor kemampuan memahami cerpen dan skor&#13;
kemampuan menulis naskah drama menjadi nilai dengan menggunakan rumus&#13;
persentase. Keempat, mengelompokkan nilai kemampuan memahami cerpen&#13;
siswa dan kemampuan menulis naskah drama berdasarkan konvensi skala 10.&#13;
Kelima, menentukan nilai rata-rata hitung dari masing-masing tes. Keenam,&#13;
mengklasifikasikan nilai siswa per indikator. Ketujuh, menyajikan data dalam&#13;
bentuk histogram per indikator yang dinilai. Kedelapan, mengolerasikan variabel&#13;
penelitian. Kesembilan, pengujian keberartian hipotesis yang diajukan. Kesepuluh,&#13;
penyimpulan hasil analisis dan pembahasan&#13;
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan diperoleh simpulan&#13;
sebagai berikut. Pertama, kemampuan memahami cerpen siswa kelas VIII SMP&#13;
Negeri 9 Sijunjung berada pada kualifikasi baik (83,42). Kedua, kemampuan&#13;
menulis naskah drama siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Sijunjung berada pada&#13;
kualifikasi baik (85,31). Ketiga, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan (berarti)&#13;
antara kemampuan memahami cerpen dengan kemampuan menulis naskah drama&#13;
siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Sijunjung pada derajat kebebasan n-2 pada taraf&#13;
signifikan 95% dengan thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 6,41&gt; 1,70.</dc:description>
