approach that aims to find the contribution of (1) running speed on the ability long
jump hang style, (2) leg muscle explosive power on the ability long jump hang
style, (3) flexibility on the ability long jump hang style, (4) simultaneously
running speed, leg muscle explosive power and flexibility on the ability long jump
hang style.
These study were conducted on students majoring in Physical Education and
Recreation Health second semester at Riau University in year 2010, with the
population of 147 students. Sampling studies uses random sampling, whereby
each class was taken by random in order to obtain the sample of 37 students. The
data of the studies were carried out by the steps namely: The run 40 yards test,
Vertical jump test, Reach-test and Long jump hang style test. Before performing
data analysis, it was carried out test analysis requirements such as; normality test,
linearity test and independence among independent variables. The data of the
running speed, leg muscle explosive power, flexibility and long jump ability were
obtained by using the techniques of correlation and simple regression analysis,
and techniques of correlation and regression multiple analysis.
The results of the techniques of correlation and simple regression analysis
revealed that the running speed contribution of the ability long jump hang style is
42.3 %; explosive power leg muscles contribution of the ability long jump hang
style is 25.1 %; flexibility contribute of the ability long jump hang style is 8.6 %.
Meanwhile, the result using techniques of correlation and regression multiple
analysis revealed that the running speed, explosive power and flexibility leg
muscles simultaneously contribute of the ability long jump hang style is 61.5 %.
This study suggested that improving the maximal ability of long jump hang style
are very important to increase the ability of running speed, explosive power and
flexibility leg muscles.</mods:abstract><mods:classification authority="lcc">S Sport</mods:classification><mods:originInfo><mods:dateIssued encoding="iso8601">2010</mods:dateIssued></mods:originInfo><mods:originInfo><mods:publisher>Universitas Negeri Padang;Pendidikan Olahraga Pascasarjana UNP</mods:publisher></mods:originInfo><mods:genre>Thesis</mods:genre></mods:mods>
