Abstract
Chili is a vegetable commodities that ha high economic value. The main problem influence chilli cultivation is fusarium wilt disease that attacks the plant. Fusarium wilt disease is generally controlled by the use of chemicals fungicide. Fusarium wilt disease can also be controlled with the use of biological control agents. Fluorescent pseudomonads (Pf) can be used as biological agents ton Fusarium wilt disease because they are able to produce siderophores compound. This study aimed to determine the ability of Pf isolates in suppressing fusarium wilt disease incubation period.The study consisted of two phases. First stage was to select effectiveness of several Pf to control Fusarium in vitro. The second stage is to test the effectiveness of isolates Pf. The completely randomized design (CRD) was used in this experiment with 6 treatments and 4 replications. Data were analyzed by Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that all Pf isolates had no significant effect in suppressing the incubation period of the fusarium wilt disease of pepper plants. There was a tendency that PB3 isolate was able to suppress fusarium wilt disease incubation period pepper plants
