Abstract
This research was conducted the south coast west Sumatera with aims are to determining and analysis charateristic geoecology unit and analysis geoecology type in the Mandeh beach. Survey method using sample area is employed this research. The yield research showed of same geoecology unit are vulcanic hill, middlehill slope vulcanic, footslopehill vulcanic, alluvial vulcanic plain, and mud flat. The geoecology type of research area are A,B,and, C, geoecology type A in the vulcanic hill, middleslope vulcanic, and footslope vulcanic. The geoecology type B in the mud flat, and geoecology type C in the alluvial vulcanic plain.
