An Analysis of Quality and Difficulties in Translation by English Department Students About Pun in Humour Text.

Abstract
This research was intended to find out the translation accuracy, acceptability and difficulties made by English department students about pun in humour text. this research is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research were students of translation class, selected by using cluster random sampling techniques. The technique of data collection was using translation test and interview. The finding of the student accuracy and acceptability was scored by using Nababan’s TQA model and the difficulties based on the interview from the students. the result of this research show that students’ translation in translating pun as humour were mostly in less accurate and less acceptable. Meanwhile, the difficulties in translating faced by the students were mostly in the culture and finding equivalence.
