Abstract

Hybridization and molecular geometry that learned at SMA have some abstract concepts which make it difficult to understand. To make it easy to understand, the learning process needs an alternative media which help students and teachers. The purpose of this research is to produce a learning media based computer that used to learn hybridization concepts. This media is designed and built by using macromedia flash 8 programs. It is shown as images, simple animations and interactive questions to guide the student finding their conclusion for each concept. This research is Research and Development (R&D). Feasibility test did to the XI grade students of science program in SMAN 1 IV Koto Kabupaten Agam. The instrument is a questioner which relate to the view, motivation and practicality of the media. The finding data analyzed by Likert scale. Based on data analysis, the average score of practicality of the media is 4.24. This score is interpreted that has the practicality standard (r) 4. It means the learning media based on computer in the topic hybridization is feasibly to use in learning chemistry for XI grade student.
