Abstract

This study aimed to examine the level of achievement: (1) vocational teacher qualifications, (2) professional development of teachers of vocational school after certification, and (3) the impact of certification on the performance of teachers in the public view. The method used descriptive quantitative, population of 954 teachers, selected samples of 247 people with a random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed by using descriptive techniques. The study found that in general (1) the vocational teachers has qualifications S1 or D4 meet the criteria of the law no. 14 of 2005 on teachers and lecturers. (2) the impact of certification program is fairly good on the professional development program, and (3) the impact of certification program is relatively small on the performance of certification of vocational teachers in the public view.
