Abstract

Writing is one of the important abilities to be mastered by students. In the process, students often experience problems related to idea development and lack of interest in wiriting. The use of media especially digital media in teaching wiritng can be one of the solutions. Teachers can use Writeabout.com to encourage students to write more because good writing requires a long process and routine practice. Writeabout. com is a website that can help teachers to improve students' writing skill, especially in terms of developing ideas and fostering students' interest in writing. This website provides hundreds of ideas to inspire students to write along with features and support students' interest in continuing to write. By publishing their writing through Write bout. com, students can also get responses from readers, comment on the other people's writings, and expand friendships. This paper aims to explain how to use Writeabout. com in teaching English writing to high school students as well as to explain some reasons why teachers should use this media
