Abstract
This paper a study based on the results of field observations on March 11, 2017 in Pangkalan, Limapuluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra province and supported by secondary data sources .The purpose of this study to explain definition ecological disaster, the relationship of high rainfall due to the interaction of the ocean with the atmosphere that related to global warming for the lecturers, scientists and stakeholders likeBNPB Representative in West Sumatra province. In addition, we are of the team from UNP assigned to assist the people and government Limapuluh Kota regency to cover triggers problem and social conditions. Landslides and floods as an ecological disaster in the past 10 years occurred almost every year. After reading this article, many stakeholders getnew insights or perspectives and real problems. After that, they have some solution to cover the ecological disaster that triggered by weather anomalies due to global warming and environmental damage caused by human activities
